As Jack heads off to Portugal with Nella, Travis Jones, Jack’s nemesis from Patrick’s debut novel, “Forever Our Sunrise in Saigon,” and General Vo, head of China's PLA cybersecurity are the forces behind the plot of China hacking Taiwan along with secretly recruit Regina, Jack's daughter into the law firm as part of a plan to steal Taiwan's classified information and bitcoins.
Still seeking revenge, Travis Jones is planning to destroy Jack's life while attempting to steal the secret hacker base in Vietnam needed to pull off the cyber attack against Taiwan.
CIA Station Chief Forest Adams, Jack’s mentor and friend from Vietnam also chased a demon of his past by discovering Dimi Zosh, a Russian Mafia killer and special forces soldier from the Afghanistan occupation in the 1980s, is still alive. Dimi, working with Travis Jones, joined forces with the Chinese PLA hackers attempt to steal bitcoins from both the Japanese and Taiwan exchanges.

Patrick Greenwood, after military service, he embark on the 25-year career in the information technology field working in various roles in sales, engineering, support, and design. Many of his inspirations for writing came via this business travels to places like Vietnam, China, Japan, Taiwan and Portugal. A true believer in listening to one’s passion, Patrick began writing in early 2020 based on several trips he made while cycling in various countries. In this novel, “Sunrise in Saigon”, Patrick draws upon several non-fictional events that happened in China hacking Taiwan and global hacking groups connected to organized crime. Having remembered these actual events during his 28 year career in cybersecurity, Patrick created this fictional novel filled with cyberterrorism and hacking, and bitcoin hacking.
In 2012, Patrick did make the first trip to Vietnam to find the lost US embassy and the Catholic nuns that helped with Operation Babylift. Patrick followed his passion for cycling by completing several bike tours in Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong delta regions.
Patrick is a holder of a B.S and MBA in Global Marketing along with completing several post-graduate certificate programs in information security, Internet of Things, and global management from MIT.
